Patio Cleaning Newbridge
Patio cleaning brings a mossy, algae-covered or tired patio in Newbridge back to life. We use a cleaning method that suits your type of surface, rather than blasting everything with high pressure.
High pressure is not always the answer for patios. Indian sandstone, limestone and older concrete slabs can be damaged or worn away by it. So we adjust the pressure to what your patio can handle and let the cleaning solution do the rest.
For softer or more delicate surfaces, we use a gentle low-pressure wash. A specialist solution lifts the algae from the root and is rinsed away, leaving the patio properly clean.
What our patio cleaning includes
- An assessment first, so the method suits sandstone, limestone, porcelain or concrete
- Removal of green algae, black spot lichen, moss and general dirt
- A low-pressure gentle wash for patios that cannot take high pressure
- Weeds and moss cleared from the joints, followed by re-pointing or re-sanding if you wish
- Furniture moved, plants and borders protected, and a thorough rinse down afterwards
A clean patio is not just nicer to look at. It is safer to walk on too, because the slippery algae layer is gone.
If the joints have worn or a few slabs have dipped, we can often sort that while we are there. The cleaned surface is also much easier to inspect, which is when small faults show up.
Keeping it clean
Cleaning removes what you can see. A biocide treatment deals with the spores in the slab, and a sealer makes future cleaning easier. Both are optional extras that we will talk through with you.
Patios in the shade or under trees go green fastest. If yours stays damp for much of the year, regular cleaning keeps it safe to use and makes each clean quicker.
We talk you through the options on the day, including which parts of the patio need the most attention, so there are no surprises when you receive your estimate.
